Terms of Service

Last updated: September 11, 2026

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Generator Bible API. By receiving credentials or using the API, you agree to these terms.

1. API access and license

Generator Bible may approve, limit, suspend, or refuse API access at its discretion. Subject to these terms and any applicable order or account plan, Generator Bible grants the approved customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the API and returned data only for the application or use case approved by Generator Bible and only during the approved access period. This license does not transfer ownership of the API, database, database structure, or its contents.

2. Accounts and API credentials

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep your password and bearer token confidential.
  • Credentials are issued to one approved customer and may not be shared, sold, sublicensed, or resold.
  • You are responsible for activity performed through your account and must notify Generator Bible promptly if you believe your credentials have been compromised.
  • You may revoke or regenerate compromised credentials through the account portal, where that functionality is available.

3. Plans, catalogs, and permitted use

You may use API responses only for the application or internal business purpose approved by Generator Bible. An account may have access to only selected catalogs, response fields, search filters, or endpoints. Access to one catalog or field does not imply access to all data held by Generator Bible. Catalog labels, available fields, and entitlements are described in the documentation or account plan.

4. Caching and prohibited use

You may cache API responses for a reasonable period when necessary to operate the approved application. Caching may not be used to create or maintain an independent substitute for the Generator Bible database.

  • Do not use the API to overload, disrupt, probe, or circumvent the service or its limits.
  • Do not use systematic extraction, enumeration, scraping, crawling, sequential querying, range querying, wildcard techniques, or equivalent methods intended to reconstruct a substantial portion of the catalog, even when individual requests comply with technical limits.
  • Do not use API data to build, enrich, maintain, or operate a generator database or API that substantially substitutes for Generator Bible.
  • Do not sell, sublicense, redistribute, or provide API data as a data feed, API, downloadable dataset, database dump, or similar third-party service. You may display or use individual results as part of the approved application.
  • Do not misrepresent Generator Bible data as your own database or remove attribution where attribution is required by your access agreement.
  • Do not use the API for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or infringing activity.

5. Technical limits, monitoring, and credits

Requests are subject to the rate limits, credits, maximum result limits, permitted search behavior, and other technical restrictions shown in the documentation or for your account. Generator Bible may introduce or change reasonable technical, security, and anti-abuse limits, including limits intended to prevent catalog enumeration. Unused credits do not create a refund or monetary balance unless Generator Bible has agreed otherwise in writing.

Generator Bible may monitor requests and account activity, including parameters, response codes, timestamps, and account identifiers, to enforce these terms and account limits, detect abuse or enumeration, protect the service, and investigate security incidents.

6. Data accuracy and third-party information

Generator Bible aims to provide useful and current information, but generator specifications may be incomplete, outdated, incorrect, unavailable, or changed without notice. API data is provided for informational purposes and should be independently verified before making safety, purchasing, installation, transfer-switch, compatibility, or operational decisions. Generator Bible does not guarantee that a generator, transfer switch, accessory, or other combination is safe or compatible.

Product names, trademarks, logos, manufacturer information, and other third-party materials may belong to their respective owners. These terms do not grant rights in third-party intellectual property beyond the limited use necessary and permitted for the approved application. Generator Bible does not claim ownership of individual factual manufacturer specifications solely because they appear in the database.

7. Intellectual property and database rights

Generator Bible retains all rights in the API, software, documentation, branding, database structure, compilation, organization, and associated materials, including any applicable database rights. These terms grant only the limited license expressly stated above and do not transfer ownership or authorize use of Generator Bible branding except as agreed in writing.

8. Trial and evaluation access

Trial or evaluation accounts are provided for evaluation and development only, not production use. They may have restricted catalogs, fields, endpoints, credits, result limits, search ranges, or access periods, may expire automatically, and do not create an entitlement to continued or commercial access.

9. Payment and term

Unless a different arrangement is stated in an applicable order, paid access is licensed annually, is invoiced and payable in advance by wire transfer or another agreed payment method, and begins when payment is received. Access expires at the end of the licensed period unless renewed. The customer is responsible for applicable taxes, VAT, duties, and similar charges, except taxes imposed on Generator Bible's net income.

10. Availability, changes, suspension, and termination

The API is not provided with an uptime or availability guarantee unless Generator Bible has expressly agreed to a separate service-level agreement. Generator Bible may perform maintenance, modify or discontinue features, correct, add, remove, reclassify, or mark products as legacy, and evolve endpoints or schemas. Generator Bible will use reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of material breaking changes and may use API versioning where appropriate.

Generator Bible may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, credential sharing, security concerns, suspected misuse, enumeration, material breach, or operational reasons. Upon suspension or termination, API access ends immediately, credentials must no longer be used, and the customer must delete cached API responses and API-derived data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.

11. Disclaimer, limitation of liability, and indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the API and its data are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Generator Bible will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages arising from API access or reliance on API data. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the aggregate liability of Generator Bible for claims relating to the API will not exceed the fees paid or payable for the affected access period.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Generator Bible and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the API, breach of these terms, unauthorized redistribution of API data, or use of API data in the approved application.

12. Governing law, changes, and contact

These terms are governed by the law and courts applicable to the Generator Bible operating entity identified in the applicable order or invoice, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties should confirm the final governing-law, venue, legal-entity, and notice details before commercial launch.

Generator Bible may update these terms as the API develops. The current version will be posted on this page, and Generator Bible will use reasonable efforts to notify customers of material changes. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Questions about API access or these terms can be submitted through the request-access form.
